Monteriggioni still today retains many of its original 13th century architectural features; indeed, it is unique among Tuscany’s medieval towns. The outer walls, made of stone, run all the way around the top of the hill, in an uninterrupted circuit around 570 mt long. The outer face of the walls is interrupted at intervals by 14 rectangular towers, with an extra tower abutting the walls on the inside.
The complex is located near the city of Siena, in the so-called Masse Senesi zone, the area around the city. This strip is a transitional part between the city and the real countryside. The landscape here is composed of harmonious alternations of cultivated fields, olive groves and forests with small vineyards, orchards and gardens, mainly of only family production.
The property is located 10 minutes drove from the west exit from the ring road. The nearest airport is Amerigo Vespucci in Florence, an hour drive away.
The wonderful property is the result of a complete reconstruction of a farmhouse, executed at the highest level.
The property occupies a very beautiful panoramic position with an amazing view.
